Why is PM Modi's speech going viral after the tweet 'handing over Kachchativu island'?

PM Narendra Modi strongly attacked Congress for giving Katchatheevu island to Sri Lanka in 1974. The PM accused Congress and former PM Indira Gandhi of undermining the unity, integrity and interests of India. Addressing X, the Prime Minister wrote that the Congress had "insensitively" given Katchatheevu island to Sri Lanka. Earlier in August 2023, PM Modi had said in the Lok Sabha that it was the Indira Gandhi government, which had given Katchatheevu to Sri Lanka.

पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने 1974 में कच्चाथीवु द्वीप श्रीलंका को देने के लिए कांग्रेस पर कड़ा प्रहार किया। पीएम ने कांग्रेस और पूर्व पीएम इंदिरा गांधी पर भारत की एकता, अखंडता और हितों को कमजोर करने का आरोप लगाया। प्रधानमंत्री ने एक्स को संबोधित करते हुए लिखा कि कांग्रेस ने "संवेदनहीनता" से कच्चातीवू द्वीप श्रीलंका को दे दिया। इससे पहले अगस्त 2023 में, पीएम मोदी ने लोकसभा में कहा था कि यह इंदिरा गांधी सरकार थी, जिसने कच्चातिवु को श्रीलंका को दे दिया था।
