क्या डूब जाएगी दुनिया? तेजी से पिघलते ग्लेशियर ने बढ़ाई चिंता

Will the world drown due to rapidly melting glaciers? A new report released by ISRO has pointed towards this alarm bell. In fact, due to increasing temperature, the snow in the Himalayas is melting rapidly and with the increase of glacier lakes, their size is also increasing. If this process continues like this then it will not take long for a severe flood to occur. According to ISRO, more than 27% of the glacial lakes identified in the Himalayas have been increasing in size since 1984, and 130 of them are in India.

क्या तेजी से पिघलते ग्लेशियर की वजह से डूब जाएगी दुनिया? इसरो की ओर से जारी एक नई रिपोर्ट ने इस खतरे की घंटी की ओर इशारा किया है. दरअसल, बढ़ते तापमान के कारण हिमालय में बर्फ तेजी से पिघल रही है और ग्लेशियर से बनी झीलों के बढ़ने के साथ इनके आकार में भी वृद्धि हो रही है. अगर इसी तरह यह प्रक्रिया लगातार चलती रही तो भीषण बाढ़ आने में देर नहीं लगेगी. इसरो के मुताबिक, हिमालय में पहचानी गई 27% से अधिक ग्लेशियर से बनी झीलें 1984 के बाद से इनके आकार में भारी बढ़ोतरी हो रही है, उनमें से 130 झीलें भारत में हैं.
