नहीं लौटेगा बैलेट पेपर, SC ने याचिका की खारीज

लोकसभा चुनाव के दूसरे चरण की वोटिंग के बीच शुक्रवार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने वीवीपैट वेरिफिकेशन की मांग को लेकर सभी याचिकाओं को खारिज करने के साथ-साथ बैलेट पेपर की मांग को लेकर दर्ज याचिका भी खारिज कर दिया है. कोर्ट के इस फैसले से ईवीएम के जरिए डाले गए वोट की वीवीपैट की पर्चियों से शत-प्रतिशत मिलान की मांग को झटका लगा है. ये फैसला जस्टिस संजीव खन्ना की अध्यक्षता वाली बेंच ने सहमति से दिया है.

Amidst the voting for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections, the Supreme Court on Friday rejected all the petitions demanding VVPAT verification as well as the petition filed demanding ballot paper. This decision of the court has dealt a blow to the demand for 100% matching of votes cast through EVMs with VVPAT slips.
