2019 से ठंडे बस्ते में पड़ा सीएए यानी नागरिकता संशोधन कानून को सरकार ने 11 मार्च को एक अधिसूचना जारी कर इसे लागू कर दिया है जिसके बाद अफगानिस्तान, पाकिस्तान और बांग्लादेश से आए प्रताड़ित अल्पसंख्यक समुदाय के लोगों के लिए भारत की नागिरकता पाना आसाना हो गया है। इस पर बोलते हुए एआईएमआईएम के अध्यक्ष असदुद्दीन ओवैसी ने सरकार पर हमला बोला है। उन्होंने कहा है कि हमें सीएए को एनआरसी और एनपीआर से जोड़कर देखने की जरूरत है।
