The Supreme Court on Thursday gave a major decision on the electoral bond scheme, declaring it unconstitutional. The apex court has canceled the electoral bonds. Also, the court has directed 'State Bank of India' not to issue these bonds any more. Apart from this, information about all such bonds purchased after the Supreme Court's interim order of April 12, 2019, should be submitted to the Election Commission.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने गुरुवार को चुनावी बॉन्ड स्कीम पर बड़ा फैसला देते हुए इसे असंवैधानिक करार दिया. शीर्ष अदालत ने चुनावी बॉन्ड को रद्द कर दिया है. साथ ही अदालत की तरफ से 'स्टेट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया' को निर्देश दिया है कि वह इन बॉन्डों को और जारी नहीं करे. इसके अलावा सुप्रीम कोर्ट के 12 अप्रैल, 2019 के अंतरिम आदेश के बाद से खरीद गए ऐसे सभी बॉन्डों की जानकारी चुनाव आयोग को सौंपे.
