3 नवंबर 2023 को नामजद एफआईआर दर्ज होने के बावजूद पुलिस एल्विश यादव को गिरफ्तार करने से बच रही थी। पुलिस को डर था कि कहीं अधूरे साक्ष्यों के साथ एल्विश को गिरफ्तार करना महंगा न पड़ जाए। न्यायालय और उसके समर्थकों से किरकिरी होने का डर नोएडा पुलिस को इस कदर सता रहा था कि एल्विश को गिरफ्तार करने में 136 दिन लगे।

Despite the FIR being registered on November 3, 2023, the police were avoiding arresting Elvish Yadav. The police feared that arresting Elvish with incomplete evidence might prove costly. The fear of facing trouble from the court and its supporters was troubling the Noida Police so much that it took 136 days to arrest Elvish.
