मालदीव के राष्ट्रपति मोहम्मद मुइज्जू ने कहा कि दूसरे विमानन मंच पर तैनात भारतीय सैन्यकर्मियों की इसी महीने वापसी हो जाएगी। उन्होंने दोहराया कि यह प्रक्रिया 10 मई तक पूरी हो जाएगी।मुइज्जू का बयान मालदीव में तैनात लगभग 25 भारतीय सैन्यकर्मियों के पहले बैच की वापसी के तीन सप्ताह बाद आया है। राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि समझौतों के अनुरूप भारतीय सैन्य कर्मियों की वापसी प्रक्रिया पहले से चल रही है।

Maldives President Mohammed Muizzu said that the Indian military personnel deployed at the second aviation platform will return this month. He reiterated that the process would be completed by May 10. Muizzu's statement came three weeks after the return of the first batch of about 25 Indian military personnel deployed in the Maldives. The President said that the withdrawal process of Indian military personnel is already underway as per the agreements.
