Just before the general elections, Sharad Pawar has faced a big disappointment and defeat from the Election Commission. While giving its decision, the Election Commission considered Ajit Pawar faction as the real NCP and handed over the name and election symbol of the party to Ajit Pawar.

आम चुनावों से ठीक पहले शरद पवार को चुनाव आयोग की तरफ से बड़ी निराशा और हार का सामना करना पड़ा है। चुनाव आयोग ने फैसला देते हुए अजीत पवार गुट को ही असल एनसीपी माना और पार्टी का नाम और चुनाव चिन्ह अजीत पवार को सौंपा।
