Today is Vasant Panchami. According to the calendar, this festival is celebrated every year on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Magh. This festival is mainly dedicated to Mother Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, learning, music and art. On this day, devotees take bath at the Ganga Ghat in Varanasi and meditate on Goddess Saraswati and worship her.
